The Admiral Yi Sun-sin built the battle ships when there was no battle and trained for the strategic skills with the Jeolla Jwasuyoung. The Jeolla United Fleet heard that the Japanese fleet was approaching from Gimhae from Gyeongsang Jwasuyoung and engaged on August 24. The Jeolla United Fleet headed to the Busan area and searched the Japanese battle ship up to August 28. On August 29, it found the Japan in Jangrimpo in Dongrae and destroyed them all.

After the battle in Jeolyoung-do, the Admiral Yi Sun-sin sent the scouting ship to Busanpo. The scouting ship returned to the Joseon Fleet after discovering some 470 ships berthing at Busanpo. The Joseon Fleet went to Busanpo and destroyed four Japanese battle ships and headed into the enemy line with the Jangsajin. The Japanese army joined the Japan to attack the Joseon Fleet on the hillside. But the Joseon Fleet had a great victory in this Battle. Thereafter, the Joseon Fleet returned to the main quarter for repairing the battle ships and refill the supplies. The Fleet of Yi Sun-sin arrived to the main quarter on September 2.
